The Town of Richmond has posted an update on their plans to address the Mill Creek and Outlet Creek issues on their town web site. You can read their update by clicking on the link below:

The Ontario County Sheriff issued a "No Wake Order" for Honeoye Lake on Tuesday April 16th 2024 due to a very high-water level. Boaters are urged to not exceed 5 MPH. Sheriff's Facebook post is available on the link below:

The concern is that large boat wakes could damage docks that have been deployed that are either under or near the current lake level. See pictures above. Also, lake bank erosion is a concern.

The Ontario County Sheriff has posted their No Wake signs at both our NYS Public Boat Launch and Sandy Bottom Park Boat Launch sites to ensure that every boater and fishermen using our public boat launch sites is aware of the No Wake order:

If you are boating on Honeoye Lake while the lake level is still very high, be careful that you don't hit floating deadheads that came loose from shore and floating or submerged dock sections.

We will regularly keep you posted on the lake level and the Sherriff's No Wake Order".

Lake level has dropped ~6 inches over the last 10 days. See lake level graph below:
